Consisting of three dive sites, Shark Point Marine Reserve has a great deal to offer the diver out on a day trip. When we have our Superday, we visit all three sites.

Shark Point. Consisting of three rock pinnacles, one which breaks the surface, this site I consider to be one of the most beautiful in our area. So much to see this site is worth revisiting as there will always be something new. Signature features for this site are large gorgonian fans, soft corals and of course zebra sharks that can be found resting on the sand at the base of the rocks.

The wreck of the King Cruiser. Catamaran design and 85m long, the King Cruiser sits upright on the bottom at 32m depth. The top of the wreck is at 18m and with the currents usually present this is a site for advanced divers. However, at slack water with good visibility open water divers can explore the upper regions of this ship. Sinking on 10th May 1997 after hitting Anemone Reef, she was a ferry that daily frequented the route between Phuket and Phi Phi.

Anemone Reef is a single pinnacle within the reserve. Rising from the seabed at 24m and coming to within 4m of the surface. Named after the profusion of anemones that smother the top of the reef, it could be called Nemo City!!!

Lucky divers will sometimes find whale sharks visiting these sites as we experienced late last year (2008).
